A puppet between theater, film and television - Visual language of films and TV shows with theater puppets 1950-2020

Abstract:

Práce "Loutka mezi divadlem, filmem a televizí - Výtvarný jazyk filmů a televizních pořadů s divadelní loutkou 1950-2020" se zabývá vývojem scénografie a prostředků výtvarného divadelního a filmového jazyka v oblasti loutkové inscenace, seriálu, filmu s divadelními loutkami, zejména v Československé televize, České televizi a Krátkém filmu mezi lety 1950–2020. Sleduje, jak se scénografické pojetí i tvarosloví inscenací a filmů s divadelními loutkami vyrovnávalo s dobovou zkušeností divadla a poetikou filmové loutkové animace. Za jakých okolností a s kterými autory vznikal a postupně se etabloval osobitý loutkářský výtvarný televizní a filmový jazyk. Analyzuje základní tendence, které posouvaly scénografické postupy k tvořivosti a fantazii – černé divadlo, ekranizaci, masky, herce vedle loutky a další, které ve své době značně rozšířily i sám pojem loutkového divadla. Analýza těchto procesů na pozadí politického a kulturního klimatu se pokouší tyto změny loutkářského jazyka systematizovat a zobecnit.

Abstract:

The study deals with the development of stage design and visual resources of theater and film language in puppet productions, series, movies with theater puppets, especially in the ČST (Czechoslovak television), ČT (Czech television) and Krátký film Praha (Short film Prague) between 1950–2020. We see how the concept of scenography and morphology productions and films with theatrical puppets terms with the contemporary experience of theater and film poetics of puppet animation. Under what circumstances and with which the authors created and gradually established a distinctive puppet art television and film language. The study analyzes the basic tendencies which shifted scenographic procedures to creativity and imagination - black theater, ecranisation, masks, puppets and actors alongside others, which at that time have greatly expanded the concept of puppet theater. On the other hand but also a return to classic wooden puppet. Analysis of these processes in the background of the political and cultural climate attempting these changes puppetry language systematize and generalize.
