Leisure and interests of children first elementary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá volnočasovými aktivitami dětí mladšího školního věku z hlediska dětí i z pohledu jejich matek. V teoretické části popisujeme fenomén volného času v historickém kontextu a také se soustředíme na některé jeho pedagogicko-psychologické aspekty. Dále se věnujeme specifikům výchovy mimo školu i v rodině. V empirické části se popisujeme provedený výzkum a jeho zjištění. Podstatnou část pracovního dne, tráví děti ve škole či pod dohledem vychovatele (školní družina, kroužky, jiné mimoškolní aktivity). Volnočasové a jiné aktivity jsou buď navrhovány či monitorovány rodičem a zabírají menší část dne (televize, počítač, hry, příprava na školu…). Zjistili jsme, že za nejdůležitější aspekt náplně volného času považují matky jeho efektivní strukturu a nácvik psychosociálních dovedností (komunikace, řešení konfliktů). Děti pak preferují aktivity, které je baví (PC, TV, sport, hra). Některé aktivity považované dětmi za atraktivní, považují jejich matky za nevhodné. U matek však existuje také diskrepance, mezi prezentovanými postoji a skutečnou náplní volného času u jejich dětí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the free-time activities for the younger school-age children from their point of view and from the point of view of their mothers. Most of the weekdays children spend at school or in the care of an instructor (after-school childcare, after-school activities). Leisure time activities are either suggested or monitored by a parent, and they take up smaller part of a day (television, computers, games, school preparation…). For mothers, the most important aspect of leisure-time activities is their effective structure and a training of social skills (communication, conflict solving). On the other hand, children prefer activities which they like (computer, television, sport, games). Some activities which children consider attractive are taken by their mothers as unsuitable. However, some mothers show a discrepancy between the attitudes they present and the actual activities their children do in their leisure time.
