Accounting and tax issues at a private nursery school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá účetní a daňovou problematikou soukromé mateřské školy v právní formě školské právnické osoby. Nejprve zasazuje školské právnické osoby do konceptu národního hospodářství, vymezuje specifika účtování v rámci jednotlivých účtových tříd a také v oblasti financování a daní. Následně analyzuje účetní, finanční a daňové skutečnosti v konkrétní soukromé mateřské škole. Prostřednictvím komparace teoretických východisek a provedené analýzy podává sledované soukromé mateřské škole návrhy a doporučení. Závěrem zjišťuje, jaký dopad měla pandemie Covid-19 a ukrajinská uprchlická krize na finanční situaci mateřských škol a zda pomoc státu byla v souvislosti s těmito událostmi z pohledu ředitelů škol dostatečná.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with accounting and tax issues of a private nursery school in the form of a school legal entity. At first, it places school legal entities in the context of the national economy, defines the specifics of accounting within the individual accounting classes and also in the field of financing and taxes. Then, it analyses the concrete nursery school's accounting, financial, and taxational practices. Through a comparison of the theoretical basis and the performed analysis, provides suggestions and recommendations in the field of accounting and taxation to the private nursery school under study. Finally, it assesses the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian refugee crisis on the financial situation of nursery schools and whether the state assistance was sufficient in the context of these events from the perspective of nursery school directors.
