Comparison the mentality of Czechs and Russians

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis contains a description and comparison the mentality of Russians and Czechs. It focuses on the cultural and historical developments that may have an influence on the formation of specific attitudes. Thesis also contains statistical data that help to create an overall view of mentalities of these nations and compare them. The work is divided into five chapters. The first chapter explains the concept of mentality. The second chapter defines the main concepts such as nation, national identity and national character. The third and the fourth chapters deal with the the actual description of the the mentality of Russians and Czechs. The fifth chapter contains a comparison of these mentalities.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce obsahuje popis a porovnání mentality Rusů a Čechů. Zaměřuje se na jejich kulturní a historický vývoj, který může mít vliv na utváření určitých postojů. Práce dále obsahuje statistické údaje, které pomáhají vytvořit celkový obraz o mentalitách těchto národů a porovnat je. Práce je rozdělena na pět kapitol. V první kapitole se vysvětluje pojem mentalita. Druha kapitola vymezuje hlavní pojmy, jako jsou například národ, národní identita a národní charakter. Třetí a čtvrtá kapitola se zabývají samotným popisem mentality Rusů a Čechů. Pátá kapitola obsahuje porovnání těchto mentalit.
