Conflict resolution in the selected organization

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je formulovat účinný návrh na řešení konfliktů ve vybrané organizaci. Dílčím cílem je popsat současný stav řešení konfliktů v dané organizaci XY a identifikovat chyby v jejich řešení. Teoreticko-metodologická část bakalářské práce byla vypracována na základě literární rešerše, kde bylo rozebráno téma konflikt, druhy konfliktu, předcházení konfliktům, příčiny vzniku konfliktů, způsoby řešení konfliktů a důsledky konfliktů z pohledu různých autorů. V praktické části bakalářské práce byla představena vybraná společnost XY, dále byl rozebrán současný stav řešení konfliktů v dané společnosti, přičemž následovalo vyhodnocení výzkumu a sestavení návrhů a doporučení pro danou společnost. Kvantitativní výzkum byl proveden formou dotazníkového šetření a výzkumu se zúčastnila všechna pražská oddělení organizace XY. V dotazníkovém šetření bylo osloveno 500 respondentů, přičemž celková návratnost činila 113 dotazníků, tzn. celková návratnost činila 22,60 %. Z teoretických metod v bakalářské práci byly uplatněny metody syntéza, indukce, abstrakce a agregace. Z empirických metod byla využita kvantitativní metoda formou dotazníkového šetření. Ze srovnávacích metod byla upotřebena metoda komparace. Z dotazníkového šetření bylo zjištěno, že se konflikty v organizaci XY vyskytují často nebo velmi často, což potvrdilo celkem 70 % respondentů. Zásadním zjištěním bylo, že nejčastější příčinou konfliktů v organizaci XY bývají problémy v komunikaci, což v dotazníkovém šetření potvrdilo 70,8 % respondentů. Z dotazníkového šetření vyplynulo, že celkově se s nějakým typem šikany setkala nadpoloviční většina respondentů, tj. 70,8 %. Hlavními doporučeními pro organizaci XY bylo, aby byl vytvořen dokument s názvem Pokyny pro pracovníky, kde by byly stanoveny pokyny pro řešení konfliktů. Dále bylo organizace XY doporučeno uspořádat online webinář, kde by hlavním tématem bylo řešení šikany na pracovišti.

Abstract:

The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to formulate a proposal for conflict resolution in the selected organization. The partial aim is to describe the current state of conflict resolution in organization xy and identify errors in their resolution. The theoretical and methodological part of the bachelor's thesis was developed on the basis of a literature search, which discussed the topic of conflict, types of conflict, conflict prevention, causes of conflicts, methods of conflict resolution and the consequences of conflicts from the perspective of various authors. In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis, the selected company XY was introduced, the current state of conflict resolution in the company was analyzed, followed by the evaluation of research and the compilation of proposals and recommendations for the company. Quantitative research was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey and all Prague departments of the XY organization participated in the research. In the questionnaire survey, 500 respondents were addressed, while the total return was 113 questionnaires, i.e. the overall return was 22.60 %. From the theoretical methods in the bachelor's thesis, the methods of synthesis, induction, abstraction and aggregation were applied. From the empirical methods, the quantitative method was used in the form of a questionnaire survey. The comparison method was used from the comparison methods. From the questionnaire survey, it was found that conflicts in the XY organization occur frequently or very often, which was confirmed by a total of 70 % of respondents. The main finding was that the most common cause of conflicts in the XY organization is communication problems, which was confirmed by 70.8 % of respondents in the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey showed that overall, more than half of the respondents encountered some type of bullying, i.e. 70.8 %. The main recommendations for the XY organization were to create a document called Staff Guidelines, which would set out guidelines for resolving conflicts. Furthermore, the XY organization was recommended to organize an online workshop, where the main topic would be the solution of bullying in the workplace.
