The aim of this master thesis is an analysis of emotional metaphors in Barack Obama and Donald Trump's victory speeches. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with political discourse, figurative language and emotional metaphors in particular. Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza metafor emocí ve vítězných projevech Baracka Obamy a Donalda Trumpa. V teoretické části je představen politický diskurs, figurativní jazyk a především metafory emocí. V praktické části je teorie aplikovaná na Obamovy a Trumpovy vítězné projevy.
