Cieľom bakalárskej práce je podať ucelený pohľad ochrany vlastníctva a práva držby, analyzovať právne prostriedky tejto ochrany v spojení s prípadmi z praxe. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na inštitút vlastníctva všeobecne. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá inštitútom držby. V tretej kapitole je analyzovaná ochrana vlastníctva.
