The relationship between self-regulation and risk behaviour in adolescence

Abstract:

Teoretická část bakalářské práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola informuje o adolescenci a hlavních vývojových změnách. Druhá kapitola se zabývá rizikovým chováním, které je typické právě pro období adolescence. Následují teorie a některé projevy rizikového chování, Posledním tématem je seberegulace. Hlavním úkolem teoretické části je vyobrazit období adolescence jako náročné vývojové období a informovat o seberegulaci a rizikovém chování. Empirická část se snaží zjistit, jaký je vztah mezi seberegulací a rizikovým chováním. Dalším mým úkolem je snaha odhalit, zda projevy rizikového chování souvisí i s jinými vlivy, jako je například rodinné prostředí nebo vrstevnická skupina. Je zkoumán také vliv pohlaví na výskyt rizikového chování a hodnocení rizikového chování.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter informs about adolescence and its major developmental changes. The second chapter deal with risk behaviours, which is typical in adolescence. Theories of origin and some of manifestations of risk behiour follow. The last topic is self-regulation. The main task of the theoretical part is to illustrate the adolescence as a challenging development period and to inform about self-regulation and risk behaviour. The empirical part tries to find out the relationship between self-regulation and risk behaviour. Another task is find out if the manifestations on risk behaviour are related to another influences, such as the family environment or the peer group. The influence of gender on the occurence of risk behaviour and the assessment of risk behavior are also researched.
