Preparation for the Old Age from the Perspective of Social Work

Abstract:

Anotace Věra Muthová: Příprava na stáří z pohledu sociální práce, Bakalářská diplomová práce. Fakulta sociálních studií, Masarykova univerzita, Brno, 2010, XX stran. Tématem této práce je příprava na stáří z pohledu sociální práce. Hlavním cílem je pak zjištění, jaké představy mají sociální pracovníci, pracující se seniory, o potřebě přípravy na stáří z hlediska jejího významu pro sociální práci se seniory. V teoretické části práce se věnuji informacím a pojmům, které se vztahují k hlavní výzkumné otázce, jsou to pojmy senior, potřeby a životní změny ve stáří, sociální služby, sociální práce a sociální pracovníci, pracující se seniory, představy a nakonec téma samotné přípravy na stáří Empirická část analyzuje poznatky, které jsem získala výzkumem, prováděným technikou polostandardizovaného rozhovoru. Rozhovoru se účastnilo devět sociálních pracovnic z různých organizací, zaměřených na sociální práci se seniory. Na základě zjištění se v závěru věnuji odpovědi na hlavní výzkumnou otázku. Abstract:

Annotation Preparation for the Old Age from the Perspective of Social Work. Bachelor Diploma Thesis. The Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno, 2010, …….pages. The topic of this thesis is preparation for the old age from the perspective of social work. The main goal is to find out which ideas do social workers working with the elderly have about the need of preparation for the old age from the perspective of its importance for social work with the elderly. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the author deals with information and concepts which concern the main research question, these concepts are the elderly, needs and life changes during the old age, social services, social work and social workers, persons working with the elderly, ideas and in conclusion, the topic of the actual preparation for the old age. The empirical part analyses the observations which the author gained during the research done in a form of semi-standardized interviews. Nine social workers from different organizations aimed at social work with the elderly have taken part in these interviews. In conclusion, the author focuses on answering the main research question on the basis of her findings. Number of words: 13 495
