The topic of this dissertation is ageism (discrimination on the grounds of a person‘s age) in the job market, which is based on prejudice and stereotypes about certain age groups. This thesis looks at whether, even in a time of prosperity and low unemployment rate, age is still a cause of discriminating behaviour in the job market and what are the main reasons for this.
