Central Bank and its Role in the Economy

Abstract:

The bachelor work “Central Bank and its Role in the Economy” is aimed on the theme of banking system. In the three chapters it analyses bank system and the Central Bank, describes the concept and the basic functions of the bank, in brief characterizes aims, functions, direct and indirect instruments of monetary policy. The second chapters analyses and describes history of the Federal Reserve System origin (FED), its position in a market economy, the composition of the FED, as well as its instruments of monetary policy. The third chapter deals with the options for solutions to the problems of central banks by the FED, interest rates by the FED, but also banking crisis in the United States.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca s názvom Centrálna banka a jej úloha v ekonomike je zameraná na tému bankovníctva. V troch kapitolách rozoberá bankový systém a centrálnu banku, popisuje pojem a základné funkcie banky, stručne charakterizuje ciele, funkcie a priame i nepriame nástroje menovej politiky. Druhá kapitola analyzuje a popisuje históriu vzniku Federálneho rezervného systému (FED), jeho postavenie v trhovej ekonomike, zloženie FED, ako aj jeho nástroje menovej politiky. Tretia kapitola sa venuje možnostiam riešenia problémov centrálnych bánk zo strany FED, úrokovým sadzbám FED, ale aj bankovej kríze v USA.
