Proces of Education at the Experimental University for grandparents and grandchildren by the perspective of three generations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje průběh vyučovacích hodin Meteorologie a klimatologie, způsoby, jakými absolventi tyto hodiny vnímají, a zkoumá, jaké jednotliví účastníci shledávají přínosy. Výzkum je zaměřen na generaci dětí, rodičů a prarodičů a jejich postřehy k výuce na Experimentální univerzitě pro prarodiče a vnoučata. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část předkládá informace z odborné literatury týkající se rodiny, učení a mezigeneračního vzdělávání. Empirická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumném šetření s využitím zúčastněného pozorování, analýzy dokumentů a polostrukturovaných hloubkových rozhovorů. Hlavním jádrem empirické části je popis jednotlivých vyučovacích hodin a zejména analýza vnímání výuky všemi třemi generacemi. Závěr práce se věnuje rozdílům Experimentální univerzity a klasické školy, ze kterých plynou odlišné důvody k přihlášení do studia, přístupy k výuce a přínosy pro dvě různé skupiny účastníků.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with process of lessons focused on Meteorology and climatology, ways in which graduates experience these hours and examines what the participants find as benefits. The research is focused on generation of children, parents and grandparents and their reflections on teaching at the Experimental University for grandparents and grandchildren. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and an empirical one. First part presents information based on professional literature related to family, learning and intergenerational education. Second one is based on qualitative research, where participant observation, document analysis and semi-structured interview are used as pivotal methods. The main part of empirical section consists of description of lessons and analysis of opinions on this lessons held by three named generations. In the conclusion there are described differences between the Experimental University and ordinary school, which constitutes informational base for reasons to apply, approaches to teaching and benefits for two different types of participants.
