In the first chapter of this thesis is devoted to theoretical definition of money supply and money demand. Equally important was in relation to the supply and demand for money approach to apply monetary base, monetary aggregates, cash and deposit multiplier. V prvej kapitole tejto diplomovej práce sa venujeme teoretickému vymedzeniu ponuky peňazí a dopytu po peniazoch. Rovnako dôležité bolo vo vzťahu k ponuke a dopytu po peniazoch priblíženie si pojmov menová báza , menová agregáty, peňažný a depozitný multiplikátor.
