The topic of death in the first grade of primary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Téma smrti na 1.stupni ZŠ“ se zabývá tím, jak žáci prvního stupně základní školy vnímají smrt, a zároveň ukazuje možnosti učitelům, jak téma do výuky zařadit. Teoretická část pojednává o definici smrti, různých pohledů na ni a popisuje vývoj dětského pojetí smrti. Detailněji se zaměřuje na téma smrti v rámci školství. Přibližuje čtenáři doporučení pro práci s tématem smrti na 1.stupni základní školy, ukazuje možné způsoby, jak o smrti komunikovat a představuje již vzniklé projekty, které by mohly být nápomocné při otvírání tématu. Výzkumná část zjišťuje, jakým způsobem žáci reagují na samotné téma, a jak dokážou sdělovat své pocity v rámci kolektivu. Na základě pilotáže připravených vyučovacích hodin, sebereflexe a návrhů řešení předává učitelům připravené výukové celky, které je možné zařadit do vyučovacího procesu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "The topic of death in the first grade of primary school" deals with how pupils of the first grade of primary school perceive death, and at the same time it shows the possibilities for teachers to include the topic in their teaching. The theoretical part deals with the definition of death, different views on it and describes the development of children‘s conception of death. It focuses in detail on the topic of death in the context of education. It introduces the reader to recommendations for working with the topic of death in primary school, shows possible ways of communicating about death, and presents already created projects that could be helpful in opening up the topic. The research part finds out how the pupils react to the topic itself and how they are able to communicate their feelings within the collective. Based on the piloting of prepared lessons, self-reflection and the design of solutions, it provides teachers with prepared teaching units that can be incorporated into the teaching process.
