Principles of Behavioral Economics in Bankers' Decision and Regulation their Benefits by the Czech National Bank

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na zhodnocení zákonné regulace finančních odměn v bankovním odvětví a využití principů behaviorální ekonomie v rozhodování bankéřů. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část vychází z odborné literatury a shrnuje vývoje v bankovním sektoru, jeho regulaci v oblasti finančních odměn a provázání principů behaviorální ekonomie do motivace. V praktické části bylo provedeno za pomoci kvantitativního výzkumu prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření porovnání rozhodování a motivace bankéřů na výši jejich odměn a zhodnocení současné zákonné regulace. Cílem této práce bylo navržení možné regulace výše odměn v bankovním sektoru s využitím principů z behaviorální ekonomie.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of the legal regulation of financial remunerations in the banking sector and the use of the principles of behavioural economy in bankers' decisions. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is based on the literature and summarizes developments in the banking sector, its regulation in the field of financial remunerations, and linking the principles of behavioural economy to motivation. In the practical part, with the help of quantitative research through a questionnaire survey, a comparison of decision-making and the motivation of bankers on the amount of their remuneration and evaluation of the current legal regulation. The aim of this work was to propose a possible regulation of the amount of remuneration in the banking sector using the principles of behavioural economy.
