Disturbing classroom climate at primary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá problematiku třídního klimatu a nespolupracující chování žáků na 1. stupni základních škol. Hlavním cílem práce bylo získat přehled o zkušenostech žáků a učitelů s projevy rušivého chování v dané třídě. Teoretická část se věnuje třídnímu klimatu a jeho spolutvůrcům, dále nespolupracujícímu chování žáků, jeho příčinám a metodám prevence a řešení. Výzkumná část se zaměřuje na získání konkrétních zkušeností žáků a učitele s projevy rušivého chování v dané třídě. Prostřednictvím vedlejších výzkumných otázek bylo zjištěno, jaké konkrétní projevy rušivého chování se ve třídě vyskytují, jaké jsou zkušenosti žáků s chováním jejich spolužáků, zkušenosti paní učitelky s rušivým chováním dané třídy a jaké je celkové klima. K získání dat byla využita metoda standardizovaného dotazníku pro žáky a technika nedokončených vět. Výsledky analýzy a interpretace dat naznačují, že klima ve vybrané třídě je převážně pozitivní, s výraznými projevy spolupráce a vzájemné pomoci mezi žáky. Nicméně se vyskytují i určité projevy rušivého chování, jaké je mluvení během výuky, vykřikování a nepozornost, které mohou negativně ovlivnit prostředí ve třídě.

Abstract:

The thesis explores the issue of classroom climate and disruptive behavior among students in the first stage of primary schools. The main objective of the thesis was to gain an overview of students' and teachers' experiences with disruptive behavior in the specific classroom. The theoretical part focuses on classroom climate and its co-creators, as well as on non- cooperative student behavior, its causes, prevention methods, and solutions. The research section aims to obtain specific experiences of students and the teacher with disruptive behavior in the given classroom. Through subsidiary research questions, it was determined what specific manifestations of disruptive behavior occur in the classroom, what experiences students have with the behavior of their classmates, what experiences the teacher has with the disruptive behavior of the class, and what the overall climate is like. The standardized questionnaire method for students and the unfinished sentence technique were used to obtain data. The results of the data analysis and interpretation suggest that the climate in the selected classroom is predominantly positive, with significant manifestations of cooperation and mutual assistance among students. However, there are also certain manifestations of disruptive behavior, such as talking during lessons, shouting, and inattention, which can negatively affect the classroom environment.
