Primary School Teacher's Resilience and an Aggressive Pupil

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o vzniku, projevech a průběhu agresivního chování žáků mladšího školního věku vůči učitelům prvního stupně základních škol a jejich resilienci vůči tomuto chování. Teoretická část diplomové práce je zaměřena na sdělení poznatků o resilienci jedinců obecně a vymezení rizikových faktorů, které ohrožují zdraví jedinců se zaměřením na agresivitu. Dále pojednává o osobnosti učitele s vymezením profese učitele, typologii osobnosti učitele, pracovní zátěži vyplývající z výkonu povolání a resilienci učitele jako vykonavatele profese. Výzkumná část se zabývá vyhledáváním nejčastějších projevů agresivity žáků prvního stupně ZŠ. Zaznamenává také nejčastější metody a strategie volené učiteli prvního stupně ZŠ při jednání s těmito žáky. Pro sběr dat se využívá metoda polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a analýza dat je realizována v případových studiích vybraných učitelů. Praktická část se zakládá na kvalitativním výzkumu a uvádí, jaké jsou nejčastější strategie volené učiteli 1. stupně ZŠ při jednání s agresivními žáky. Zároveň popisuje změny reakcí učitelů 1. stupně ZŠ na agresivní reakce žáků v průběhu výkonu praxe a uvádí metody rozvoje osobnostní resilience využívané učiteli. Data jsou zpracována do případových studií jednotlivých učitelů.

Abstract:

The thesis is about the origin and course of aggressive behaviour of pupils of younger school age towards primary school teachers and their resiliency towards this behaviour. The theoretical part of the thesis is aimed at communicating knowledge about the individuals resiliency in general and defining risk factors that endanger the health of individuals with a focus on aggression. It also discusses the personality of the teacher with the definition of the profession of teacher, the typology of the personality of the teacher, the workload and the resiliency of the teaching as profession. The research section deals with searching for the most common acts of aggression of primary school pupils. It also records the most common methods and strategies chosen by primary school teachers when dealing with these pupils. The semi-structured interview method was used to collect the data and the data analysis was carried out in case studies of selected teachers. The practical part is based on qualitative research and indicates what are the most common strategies chosen by primary school teachers when dealing with aggressive pupils. At the same time, it describes changes in the responses of primary school teachers to the aggressive responses of pupils during the practice and lists the methods used by teachers to develop personality resilience. The data is processed into case studies of individual teachers.
