Film festivals in the Czech Republic (Freshfilmfest: Past and present)

Abstract:

Ve své práci se snažím zmapovat současnou tvorbu z oblasti filmových festivalů a zejména jsem se zaměřil na Fresh Film Fest, který k nám přináší čerstvý vítr z oblasti aktuální audiovizuální tvorby, experimentálních filmů, krátkých filmů, ale i celovečerních filmů, které se k nám do českých kin nemají často šanci dostat. V práci popisuji jednotlivé ročníky, změny v jejich sekcích, rozhovory s tvůrci a v neposlední řadě ukázky jejich zajímavého a inovativního vizuálu pro každý rok. Přináším informace o začátcích, historii FFF, také rozhovory s organizátory akce a popis doprovodných akcí. Závěrem není možné říci zda se festival stane stálicí na našem území a tak se snažme nebýt lhostejní k inovativnímu přístupu nové generace.

Abstract:

This work tries to map the current audiovisual production from the film festivals and particularly it is focused on the Fresh Film Fest (FFF). FFF brings us the fresh wind from the field of the current audiovisual activity, experimental films, short films but also feature films which usually don't get the chance to get on the screens of Czech cinemas. My work describes the individual years, changes in their sections and it analyzes their interesting and innovative visuals for each year. I bring the information about the history of festival, interviews with organizers and a description of supporting events. At the end I am not able to say whether the festival has become a adequate part of czech festival scene. But let's try not to be disregardful to the innovative approach of the new generation.
