Care of twins under 1 year of age from the parents' perspective

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na péči o dvojčata do 1 roku života z pohledu rodičů. Práce je teoreticko-průzkumná. Teoretická část je zaměřena na oblast vícečetného těhotenství, jeho etiologii, rizika a management porodu dvojčetného těhotenství. Dále se zabývá vývojovou psychologií novorozence a kojence a popisuje specifika péče a vývoje dvojčat. Průzkumná část je šetřena pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s rodiči dvojčat, kteří již mají zkušenosti s péči o dítě z jednočetné gravidity. Tato část je zaměřena na problematiku péče o dvojčata do jednoho roku života z pohledu matky i otce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the care of twins under 1 year of age from the parents' perspective. The work is theoretical-exploratory. The theoretical part focuses on the area of multiple pregnancy, its etiology, risks, and the management of twin delivery. It also deals with the developmental psychology of newborns and infants and describes the specifics of caring for twins and the development of twins. The exploratory part is conducted through semi-structured interviews with parents of twins who already have experience in caring for a child from a singleton pregnancy. It addresses the issues of caring for twins up to one year of age from both the mother's and father's perspectives. Furthermore, differences between caring for twins and caring for a child from a singleton pregnancy are examined.
