Dopady využití virtuálních měn v podnikové praxi

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá dopady využití virtuálních měn v podnikové praxi a následně legislativními povinnostmi vyplývající z účtování o kryptoměnách pro právnickou osobu. Práce pojednává o základních vlastnostech a fungování kryptoměn na technologii zvané blockchain a zároveň se také věnuje právním úpravám legislativy na území České republiky. Vzhledem k novosti tohoto tématu a spoustě nejasných informací, jakým způsobem můžeme získávat kryptoměny, obchodovat s nimi či využít jejich potenciál na základě vedlejších činností s nimi spojenými se toto téma dostává do podvědomí nejen fyzickým osobám, ale také společnostem, které na základě svých činností podnikání, chtějí zajistit možný zisk podniku. Je použit kvalitativní výzkum, a to formou metod formální logiky, statistických údajů, řízeného rozhovoru či obsahové analýze dokumentů k daným projektům spojených s kryptoměnami. Na základě obsahové analýzy dokumentů a řízeného rozhovoru dochází k porozumění daných projektů souvisejících s těžením kryptoměn napříč vybraným holdingem. Je analyzována vnitřní směrnice o účtování kryptoměn v konkrétním podniku, která se řídí platnými doporučeními legislativy České republiky. V rámci práce jsou zkoumány výhody a nevýhody využití kryptoměn v podnikové praxi a jsou posuzovány jejich dopady na finanční plánování, řízení rizik či enviromentální dopady využití kryptoměn v podnikové praxi. Dále jsou v práci poskytnuty doporučení pro podniky, které uvažují o využití kryptoměn v rámci svého podnikání. Výsledky práce ukazují, že využití kryptoměn v podnikové praxi může být pro některé podniky výhodné, zejména pokud se jedná o inovativní a technologicky zaměřené firmy. Z důvodu kolísání ceny a nejisté regulace kryptoměn je důležité, aby podniky pečlivě zvážily všechny aspekty využití kryptoměn a přizpůsobily svůj finanční plán a strategii tak, aby minimalizovaly rizika a maximalizovaly přínosy. Autorka je toho názoru, že za určitých podmínek jsou projekty smysluplné, ovšem je zapotřebí dále danou problematiku sledovat ve všech směrech.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the impact of the use of virtual currencies in corporate practice and the subsequent legislative obligations arising from the accounting for cryptocurrencies for a legal entity. The thesis discusses the basic characteristics and functioning of cryptocurrencies on the technology called blockchain and also discusses the legal regulations in the Czech Republic. Due to the novelty of this topic and a lot of unclear information on how we can acquire cryptocurrencies, trade them or use their potential on the basis of ancillary activities related to them, this topic is coming to the attention of not only individuals, but also companies that want to ensure a possible profit for the company based on their business activities. Qualitative research is used, in the form of methods of formal logic, statistical data, guided interview or content analysis of documents on the projects related to cryptocurrencies. Based on the content analysis of the documents and the guided interview, an understanding of the given cryptocurrency mining related projects across the selected holding company is reached. The internal directive on cryptocurrency accounting in the specific company is analysed, following the applicable recommendations of the Czech legislation. The advantages and disadvantages of using cryptocurrencies in corporate practice are explored and the implications for financial planning, risk management or environmental impacts of using cryptocurrencies in corporate practice are assessed. Furthermore, the thesis provides recommendations for companies considering the use of cryptocurrencies within their business. The results of the thesis show that the use of cryptocurrencies in corporate practice can be beneficial for some businesses, especially if they are innovative and technology-oriented companies. Due to the price volatility and uncertain regulation of cryptocurrencies, it is important that businesses carefully consider all aspects of cryptocurrency use and adapt their financial plan and strategy to minimize risks and maximize benefits. The author is of the opinion that under certain conditions, the projects make sense, but the issue needs to be further monitored in all directions.
