Hotel International Brno development project - inovation and expansion of services and products

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na čtyřhvězdičkový hotel v centru města Brna. Hlavním cílem je zmapovat současný stav a inovovat služby i nabídky. Pro přehlednost je práce rozdělena do tří částí. V první teoretické části jsem zpracovala poznatky z dostupných odborných literárních zdrojů, týkajících se dané problematiky. Seznamuji čtenáře s historií hotelnictví v České republice, následuje obecná charakteristika ubytovacích, stravovacích a doplňkových služeb se zaměřením na společensko-gastronomické akce. Ve druhé části se věnuji identifikaci objektu a jeho začlenění do hotelového řetězce. Po opakovaných návštěvách hotelu jsem ze shromážděných materiálů vypracovala analýzu poskytovaných služeb a vyhodnotila změny během posledního desetiletí. Internetové zdroje mi poskytly podklady, které aplikuji na problematiku konkurence. Třetí část obsahuje návrhy a možnosti rozšíření s vylepšením stávajících služeb, nabídek i akcí, které hotel pořádá a inovuji nabízené portfolio pro klienty za účelem zvýšení návštěvnosti hotelu a posílení konkurenceschopnosti.

Abstract:

My bachelor’s thesis pays particular attention to the four-star hotel in the centre of Brno City. The main goal of this thesis is to explore the current state and innovate services and offers. For clear arrangement this thesis is divided into three parts. In the first theoretical part I processed all findings from available specialized literary sources on this issue. I make readers familiar with the history of the hotel industry in the Czech Republic, followed by a general characteristic of accommodation, catering and ancillary services focused on socio-gastronomic events. The second part is devoted to identifying the object and its integration into the hotel chain. After repeated visits of this hotel I gathered basic materials and prepared an analysis of the services provided as well as assessed the changes over the last decade. Internet sources have provided the information being applied to the issues of competition. The third part contains suggestions and possible expansions to improve the existing services, offers and events having been organized by hotel management. I innovate the portfolio for clients in order to increase the hotel attendance and enhance its competitive strengths
