Direct speech presentation and norms in literary translation - some less obvious aspects
Abstract:
This thesis deals with direct speech in literary translation. It focuses mainly on the inserted reporting sentence and examines its functions and the differences in its use in English and in Czech on the basis of selected English literary texts, their Czech translations, and original Czech literary texts.
