Employment of People with Disabilities in the Opava Region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením na Opavsku. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit problematické aspekty zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením na Opavsku a nalézt možnosti, jak těmto lidem usnadnit vstup na otevřený pracovní trh. Prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření a následného statistického zpracování sesbíraných dat bylo zjištěno, že lidé se zdravotním postižením jsou v opavském regionu nejčastěji zaměstnáni v oboru strojírenství. Strojírenství je součástí zpracovatelského průmyslu, ve kterém je v posledních letech zaměstnáno nejvíce lidí (nehledě na postižení) jak v Moravskoslezském kraji, tak v celorepublikovém měřítku. Dotazníkovým šetřením se zjistilo, že převážná část lidí s postižením, jež jsou na Opavsku zaměstnáni ve firmách s 25 a více zaměstnanci, pracuje na dělnických pozicích. Výzkum odhalil, že většina osob s postižením zaměstnaných na Opavsku má nejčastěji ukončené střední vzdělání s výučním listem. Jedním z nástrojů, který lidem s postižením může usnadnit vstup na pracovní trh, je zaměřit se na zvýšení jejich kvalifikace, případně je rekvalifikovat. Dalším takovým nástrojem pak může být využití příspěvku na zřízení pracovního místa pro osobu se zdravotním postižením, ale i dalších příspěvků, které poskytuje Úřad práce České republiky. Výzkum však odhalil, že jen minimum zaměstnavatelů zapojených do tohoto výzkumu možnost příspěvku na zřízení pracovního místa využilo.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of employment of persons with disabilities in the Opava Region. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out the problematic aspects of the employment of people with disabilities in the Opava region and to find ways to make it easier for these people to enter the open labour market. Through a questionnaire survey and subsequent statistical processing of the collected data, it was found that people with disabilities are most often employed in the field of engineering in the Opava region. Mechanical engineering is part of the manufacturing industry, which in recent years has employed the most people (regardless of disability) both in the Moravian-Silesian Region and on a nationwide scale. A questionnaire survey revealed that the majority of people with disabilities who are employed in companies with 25 or more employees in the Opava Region work in manual positions. The research revealed that the majority of persons with disabilities employed in the Opava region most often have completed secondary education with an apprenticeship certificate. One of the tools that can make it easier for people with disabilities to enter the labour market is to focus on increasing their qualifications or requalifying them. Another such tool can be the use of an allowance for the establishment of a workplace for a person with a disability, as well as other allowances provided by the Labour Office of the Czech Republic. However, the research revealed that only a minimum of the employers involved in this research used the possibility of a job creation allowance.
