The Delphic oracle and the process of divination in the light of the ancient sources.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the Delphic oracle and describes its establishment, impact and influence in the ancient Mediterranean. The aim of this thesis is to describe through ancient authors factors which affected its long activity including the cult of Apollo and Pythian games. Abstract:
Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá Delfskou veštiarňou a opisuje jej založenie, pôsobenie a vplyv v antickom Stredomorí. Cieľom práce je podľa antických autorov popísať faktory ovplyvňujúce jej dlhé pôsobenie vrátane kultu boha Apolóna a Pýtických hier. Pomocou antických svedectiev práca tiež opisuje rituálne procesy a proces veštenia v Delfách.
