The Internet as a Leisure Time Activity in Primary School Pupils

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá internetem, jako fenoménem pro způsob trávení volného času žáků základních škol. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení samotného pojmu volný čas, dále popisuje největší počítačovou síť na světě internet. Jeho historii ve světě a u nás. Věnuje se také bezpečnosti dětí na internetu, popisu možných nebezpečí internetu a projektům, které se bezpečným internetem zabývají. V neposlední řadě v ní nalezneme vymezení vě-kových kategorií, jimiž jsou střední a starší školní věk. V rámci empirického výzkumu pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjišťuje, kolik času děti na internetu tráví a k čemu jej vyu-žívají, zda znají jeho možná nebezpečí a kde se o nich dozvěděli.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the internet as a phenomenon for leisure time of primary school pupils. The theoretical part contains the definition of the concept of leisure time and describes the largest computer network in the world - the internet and its history in the world and in our country. The work also deals with the safety of children on the internet, possible dangers of the internet and the projects that focus on internet safety. The thesis also defines the age categories of middle and upper primary school age. Via empirical re-search, by means of a questionnaire survey, the thesis determines how much time children spend on the internet and what they use it for, whether they know its dangers and where they learned about them.
