Expression of identity in the Lolita subculture

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Výraz identity v subkultuře Lolita je zaměřena na možné způsoby vyjádření autentické subkulturní identity členek subkultury Lolita v souvislosti s jejími pravidly a estetikou. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vymezení základních pojmů souvisejících s tématem, jako identita, kultura a subkultura. Více do hloubky téma rozvíjí pojmy online identity a konkrétnější vhled do Lolita subkultury v ČR i ve světě. Na teoretické vymezení navazuje empirická část. V úvodu části je stručně popsána metodologie kvalitativního výzkumu, konkrétně obsahové analýzy. Následuje popis vlastního výzkumu, interpretace a vyhodnocení získaných dat a jejich porovnání s daty z jiných dokumentů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis „The expression of identity in the Lolita subculture“ focuses on the possible ways of expressing the authentic subcultural identity of members of the Lolita subculture in relation to its rules and aesthetics. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part focuses on defining the basic concepts related to the topic, such as identity, culture and subculture. It develops more deeply the topics of online identity and more in-depth insights into the Lolita subculture in the Czech Republic as well as worldwide. The theoretical definition is followed by an empirical part. The introduction of the section briefly describes the qualitative research methodology, specifically content analysis. This is followed by a description of the research itself, the interpretation and evaluation of the data obtained and its comparison with data from other documents.
