Cooperation of Integrated Rescue System in Dealing with Mass Casualty Incidents in the Karlovy Vary Region

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je spolupráce integrovaného záchranného systému při řešení hromadného postižení zdraví v Karlovarském kraji. Cílem teoretické části je vymezit základní pojmy medicíny katastrof a popsat strukturu a činnost složek IZS. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, jak v praxi spolupracují a komunikují složky IZS při řešení mimořádné situace s hromadným postižením osob v Karlovarském kraji. K tomuto účelu je využito dotazníkového šetření. Společné zásahy složek IZS při řešení mimořádných událostí jsou časté. Problémy však bývají v komunikaci mezi jednotlivými složkami a v nedostatečné připravenosti na společné zásahy. Jako velice přínosné se pro tyto situace v praxi ukazují být cvičení složek IZS, která simulují hromadné postižení osob. V závěru práce jsou pak formulovány i doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the cooperation of the integrated rescue system in the solution of mass disability in the Karlovy Vary region. The goal of the theoretical part is to define the basic concepts of disaster medicine and to describe the structure and activity of the components of the integrated rescue system. The goal of the practical part is to find out how in practice the components of the integrated rescue system cooperate and communicate when dealing with an emergency situation with a mass disability in the Karlovy Vary region. A questionnaire survey is used for this purpose. The results of the questionnaire show that interventions in cooperation with the integrated rescue system are not unique at all. In practice, they are relatively frequent, although problems with communication between individual components often arise when dealing with extraordinary events, and the preparedness is sometimes not quite sufficient. Exercises of the integrated rescue system components, which simulate the mass disability of people, are especially beneficial for these situations in practice. At the end, recommendations for practice are also formulated.
