The influence of the way of upbringing in the family, the family environment and the sibling constellations on the school success of the child

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se opírá o teoretické poznatky z oblasti rodinné výchovy, rodinného prostředí a školní úspěšnosti dítěte. Jejím cílem je ověřit vliv vybraných činitelů na školní prospěch. Těmito faktory jsou způsob výchovy v rodině, rodinné prostředí a sourozenecká konstelace. Výzkum má podobu dotazníkového šetření a je zacílen na žáky ve věku od osmi do dvanácti let. V empirické části ověřuje vztah školního prospěchu dítěte, způsobu výchovy v rodině a sourozeneckých konstelací. Dále porovnává školní prospěch žáků z hlediska způsobu výchovy v rodině, rodinného prostředí a sourozenecké konstelace. Nosnými výsledky této práce je potvrzení existence vztahu mezi sourozeneckou konstelací a školním prospěchem dítěte, a zjištění vlivu pořadí narození na jeho prospěch. Existence vztahu mezi způsobem výchovy v rodině a školním prospěchem dítěte se neprokázala, úspěšnost dítěte je však pozitivně ovlivněna úplností rodiny, zájmem rodičů o toto školní prospívání dítěte a menším počtem sourozenců.

Abstract:

This thesis is based on theoretical knowledge of family education, family environment and school success of the child. It aims to verify the influence of selected factors on school success. These factors are a way of upbringing in the family, family environment and sibling constellation. Research takes the form of a questionnaire investigation and it targets pupils from eight to twelve years of age. The empirical part verifies the relationship of the child's school success, the way of upbringing in the family and sibling constellation. It also compares the school success of pupils with the way of upbringing in their family, family environment and sibling constellation. The main result of this study is the confirmed existence of the relationship between the sibling constellation and the school success of the child, and the found influence of the order of birth on the school success. The existence of a relationship between the way of upringing in the family and school success of the child has not proved. However, the success of the child is positively influenced by the family's completeness, the parents' interest in the child's school success and the smaller number of siblings.
