Chapters from the history of building mountain trails and craft roadman in the Eastern Giant

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se snaží osvětlit výzkumné otázky týkající se vývoje výhradně horských komunikací, včetně nejstarších zemských stezek, které procházejí horskými partiemi. Zabývá procesem proměn těchto pozemních komunikací od počátku osídlení krkonošského podhůří od 11. století až do moderní doby a je zaměřena především na cesty s hospodářským využitím. Popisuje jejich roli v lidovém prostředí a postupnou změnu funkce od ryze hospodářské k volnočasovému využití na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Zároveň se práce detailněji věnuje technice cestářských prací i samotnému cestářskému povolání a jeho uplatnění v současnosti.

Abstract:

The dissertation aims to shed light on the research questions concerning the development of entirely mountainous roads, including the oldest trading routes that pass through the mountain spots. Examines the process of transformation of these roads from early settlement of Krkonoše Mountain foothills from the 11th century to modern times and is primarily focused on the road to economic recovery. Describes their role in the folk environment and a gradual change from a purely economic function to the leisure use in the 19th and 20th centuries. At the same time, the work detail pays trading routes technique works and to trading routes profession and its application in the present.
