Diagnostics of Learning Styles of Primary School Pupils

Abstract:

Téma této diplomové práce je „Diagnostika stylů učení žáků 1. stupně ZŠ“. Zaměřuje se na pedagogickou diagnostiku stylů učení vybraných žáků pomocí nejčastěji využívaných diagnostických metod a také vlivu učitele na tyto žákovské styly učení. Účelem této práce je přiblížit pedagogickou diagnostiku stylů učení učitelům a tímto je pobídnout, aby se snažili ulehčit žákům učení tím, že jejich styly učení budou zohledňovat. Práce je rozčleněna na dvě části – teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část se zabývá základními pojmy této problematiky, ovlivňováním a zohledňováním učebních stylů žáků učitelem, a samozřejmě popisuje diagnostiku stylů učení. Empirická část zkoumá styly učení u vybraných žáků 4. ročníku základní školy pomocí metody pozorování, analýzy dětské kresby, dotazníku učení LSI a rozhovoru. Do konečné diagnózy se promítá i vliv třídní učitelky na styly učení těchto žáků. V závěrečné části práce je rovněž posouzena vhodnost použitých diagnostických metod pro tyto žáky.

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is “Diagnostics of Learning Styles of Primary School Pupils“. It focuses on the pedagogical diagnostics of learning styles of selected pupils with using the most common diagnostic methods and the influence of their teacher on these pupils´ learning styles. The purpose of this work is to bring pedagogical diagnostics of learning styles closer to teachers and thus encourage them to try to make learning easier for pupils by taking their learning styles into account. The work is divided into two parts – theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts of this issue, influencing and taking into account the learning styles of pupils by their teacher, and of course, describes the diagnostics of learning styles. The empirical part examines the learning styles of selected pupils in the 4th grade of primary school by using the method of observation, analysis of pupil´s drawing, Dunn´s Learning Style Inventory and interview. The final diagnosis also reflects the influence of their teacher on the learning styles of these pupils. The final part of this thesis also assesses the suitability of the diagnostic methods used for these students.
