Diplomová práce pojednává o vývoji soukenictví v Humpolci v letech 1850 – 1914. Je rozdělena do šesti kapitol. Po úvodu a seznámení se základními prameny a literaturou se v druhé kapitole zabývá transformací cechu v živnostenské společenstvo soukeníků, fungováním této organizace a vývojem soukenictví ve městě.
