Cílem diplomové práce je co nejkomplexněji zhodnotit situaci ve městě Bystřice nad Pernštejnem a částečně i jeho blízkém okolí. Text práce se věnuje jak historickému vývoji, tak i současné situaci ve městě a jeho zázemí, z pohledu obyvatelstva, hospodářské základny, dojížďky do zaměstnání a vybavenosti službami.
