Anotácia:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem sebeprezentace a sebeprezentačních strategií seniorů na internetových seznamkách. V teoretické části je věnována pozornost teorii sebeprezentace, aspektům sebeprezentačního chování v prostředí internetu a internetovým seznamkám (jejich typologie a dále výhody seznamování na internetu). Klíčovou část práce tvoří téma partnerských preferencí a sebeprezentace žen a mužů při navazování romantických vztahů. Tyto dvě oblasti jsou mapovány především z pohledu evoluční teorie. Práce se zaměřuje na pohlavní a věkové rozdíly v prezentování některých atributů, například fyzických charakteristik či socioekonomického statusu. Cílem výzkumné části diplomové práce je ověřit platnost evoluční teorie u starších uživatelů internetových seznamek a zjistit, zda senioři využívají nějaké specifické sebeprezentační strategie. Součástí kvantitativního výzkumu je obsahová analýza seznamovacích inzerátů a profilových fotografií starších uživatelů internetových seznamek a uživatelů v mladé dospělosti. Ve výsledcích a diskuzi jsou shrnuta zjištění o pohlavních a věkových rozdílech v sebeprezentaci a věkově specifických sebeprezentačních strategií seniorů.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the question of self-presentation and strategies of self-presentation used by seniors on internet dating sites. In the theoretical part of the work the attention is focused on the theory of self-presentation, some aspects of self-presentation behaviour on the internet and internet dating sites (typology, advantages of internet dating). The theoretical part of the work involves areas of partner preferences and self-presentation in the romantic relationship formation. The thesis is particularly based on the evolutionary theory and is focused on the age and gender differences in presentation of some attributes such as physical characteristics and socioeconomic status. The aim of the empirical part is the verification of evolutionary theory validity for older users on internet dating site and finding some special aspects of senior self-presentation behaviour. The part of quantitative research is the content analysis of personal advertisements and profile images of older and young users of internet dating site. Results and discussion include finding about age and gender differences in self-presentation and some age related self-presentation strategies of seniors.
