Interjections in the humoristic magazine El Jueves

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis deals with interjections in the Spanish humoristic magazine El Jueves, that is based on comic narrative techniques. The theoretical part focuses on the description of an interjection as one of the parts of speech, it mentions the controversy of this category, definitions, phonological, morphological, syntactic and semantic characteristics and their classification. There are also briefly introduced the languages of comics. The practical part introduces a list of interjections occurring in El Jueves and their order by the frequency of use. After that, it investigates the presence of mentioned interjections in the dictionary of the Spanish Royal Academy and if there are more used primary or secondary, expressive or appellative interjections. In the end the intonation and place in the magazine are analyzed.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá citoslovci ve španělském humoristickém časopise El Jueves, který je založený na komiksových narativních technikách. Teoretická část je zaměřena na popis citoslovcí jako jednoho ze slovních druhů, při čemž se zmiňuje kontroverze této kategorie, definice, fonologické, morfologické, syntaktické a sémantické charakteristiky a jejich klasifikace. Rovněž jsou stručně představeny jazyky komiksu. V praktické části se přináší seznam citoslovcí vyskytujících se v El Jueves a jejich seřazení podle četnosti užití. Následně se zabývá přítomností daných citoslovcí ve slovníku Španělské královské akademie a zkoumá se, které citoslovce se vyskytují častěji, jestli primární, či sekundární, expresivní, či apelativní. Nakonec se analyzuje jejich intonace a místo výskytu v časopise.
