Ammonium sulphate in winter wheat nutrition

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá porovnáním vlivu hnojení granulovaným síranem amonným a síranem amonným s inhibitorem nitrifikace na výnos a kvalitativní parametry zrna pšenice ozimé ve srovnání s kontrolní variantou hnojenou běžnými hnojivy bez síry a inhibitorů (LAD, DAM 390) a nehnojenou variantou. U aplikace obou forem síranu amonného se předpokládal pozitivní vliv síry na výnos a kvalitativní parametry zrna z důvodu vzájemné synergie síry s dusíkem. U aplikace síranu amonného s inhibitorem nitrifikace se předpokládal pozitivní vliv inhibitoru nitrifikace na postupnou přeměnu amonné formy dusíku na nitrátovou, v důsledku čehož se snížil počet aplikací hnojiv vůči kontrole ze tří na dvě. Maloparcelní pokus probíhal na Polní pokusné stanici v Žabčicích ve dvou hospodářských letech v období 2021 – 2023. Při hodnocení výsledků hnojených variant nebyl statisticky průkazný rozdíl ve výnosu a objemové hmotnosti zrna. Statistický průkazný rozdíl byl u obsahu dusíkatých látek v zrnu a sedimentační hodnoty (Zelenyho test), kdy varianta s klasickým hnojením a s hnojením granulovaným síranem amonným měla průkazně vyšší hodnoty než varianta se síranem amonným s inhibitorem nitrifikace. Průkazný rozdíl byl také v obsahu lepku v zrnu, který byl u varianty s granulovaným síranem amonným průkazně vyšší než u varianty se síranem amonným s inhibitorem nitrifikace. Z hlediska ekonomického hodnocení vyšla nejvíce rentabilní varianta s granulovaným síranem amonným, naopak nejméně rentabilní varianta se síranem amonným s inhibitorem nitrifikace.

Abstract:

With the aim of this work is the comparison of the effect of fertilisation with granulated ammonium sulphate and ammonium sulphate with nitrification inhibitor on yield and quality parameters of winter wheat grain with the control treatment fertilised with common fertilisers without sulphur and inhibitors (CAN, UAN) and the unfertilised treatment. The application of both forms of ammonium sulphate was expected to have a positive effect of sulphur on grain yield and quality parameters due to the mutual synergy of sulphur and nitrogen. For the application of ammonium sulphate with nitrification inhibitor, a positive effect of the nitrification inhibitor on the gradual conversion of the ammonium form of nitrogen to nitrate was assumed, resulting in a reduction in the number of fertiliser applications relative to the control from three to two. The small-plot experiment was conducted at the Field Experimental Station in Žabčice in two farming years from 2021 to 2023. When the results of the fertilized treatments were evaluated, there was no statistically significant difference in yield and grain bulk density. There was a statistically significant difference in grain nitrogen content and sedimentation value (Zeleny's test), where the variant with conventional fertilisation and fertilisation with granulated ammonium sulphate had significantly higher values than the treatment with ammonium sulphate with nitrification inhibitor. There was also a significant difference in grain gluten content, which was significantly higher in the treatment with granular ammonium sulphate in comparison with ammonium sulphate with nitrification inhibitor. In terms of economic evaluation, the most profitable option was the treatment with granulated ammonium sulphate, while the least profitable treatment was ammonium sulphate with nitrification inhibitor.
