Financial security for retirement in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaobírá problémem finančního zajištění se na starobu. Analýzou vybraných finančních produktů je vyhodnocen nejvhodnější a nejvýnosnější produkt pro modelové subjekty. Analýza je teoreticky podložena první částí práce, která demonstruje soudobý stav ekonomiky a veřejných financí a definuje základní pojmy související s důchodovým systém. Aplikační část poměřuje výnosnost jednotlivých produktů v závislosti na vymezených charakteristikách klientů. Závěrem je rozebrána dlouhodobá péče, která se jeví jako jeden z možných způsobů zmírnění krize veřejných financí.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis deals with the issue of how to ensure financial stability for old age. The analysis of chosen financial products leads to the selection of the most convenient and most profitable product for subject models. The theoretical part of the thesis supports the analysis demonstrating the current economic and public finances situation and defining the basic terms related to the pension system. The following analysis measures the lucrativeness of the individual products with regard to the defined characteristics of the clients. The final part of the thesis concerns the long-term care analysed as one of the possible ways of alleviating the crises of public finances.
