Ještěrka zední (Podarcis muralis) je evropský druh patřící do rodu Podarcis, čeledi Lacertidae. V Evropě má rozsáhlý výskyt táhnoucí se od Pyrenejského ostrova až po Turecko, kterého byla schopna dosáhnout z důvodu stálých jižních refugií v době pleistocénu. Abstract:
The Common Wall Lizard (Podarcis muralis) is a European species belonging to the genus Podarcis, family Lacertidae. In Europe, it has an extensive range stretching from the Iberian Islands to Turkey, which it was able to reach because of permanent southern refugia during the Pleistocene.
