Road network as a lifting factor for regional development

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je zhodnocení stavu silniční sítě a jeho vlivu na rozvoj regionu, kterým je v tomto případě Ústecký kraj. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na objasnění jednotlivých pojmů, jako jsou např. dopravní infrastruktura, silniční doprava či pozemní komunikace. Je zde objasněn způsob financování dopravní infrastruktury a uvedeny jednotlivé orgány státní správy v oblasti dopravy. Zároveň zde jsou specifikovány jednotlivé kategorie komunikací v silniční dopravě a některé silniční stavby. V praktické části je zhodnocena kvalita silniční sítě ve vybraných okresech Ústeckého kraje, dopravní dostupnost atraktivních turistických cílů na Mostecku, elektronický mýtný systém či dopad silniční dopravy na životní prostředí. Je zde poukázáno na to, že zajištění kvalitní dopravní infrastruktury je jedním z nejdůležitějších předpokladů a požadavků pro příchod investorů do daného regionu a tím i vznik nových průmyslových zón.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is an evaluation of the road network condition in the Ústí Region and its influence on the development of the region. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the clarification of terminology, such as transport infrastructure or road transport. Further, the section focuses on clarification of the transport infrastructure financing and various bodies of state administration in the field of transport. At the same time, individual categories of road transport and some road constructions are specified. The practical part evaluates the quality of the road network in selected districts of the Ústí Region, the accessibility of attractive tourist destinations in the district of Most, the electronic toll system and the impact of road transport on the environment. The paper points out that a provision of high-quality transport infrastructure is one of the most important prerequisites and requirements for an arrival of investors into the region and thus a creation of new industrial zones.
