Abstract:
The thesis focuses on a seventeenth-century French thinker Pierre Bayle, especially on his skepticism. Firstly, the skepticism itself is presented including its historical development, into which is then set the character of Pierre Bayle. Práca sa zameriava na francúzskeho mysliteľa sedemnásteho storočia Pierra Bayla, a to hlavne na jeho skepticizmus. Najprv je predstavený skepticizmus ako taký i jeho historický vývoj, do ktorého je potom zasadená postava Pierra Bayla.
