Metal uptake by vegetation in Staré Ransko deposit

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was the detection of risk metal(loid)s such as As, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn and the assessment of contamination level in the surveyed area of Staré Ransko deposit. Considering its rich mining history, Staré Ransko may represent potential hazard for its inhabitants. Therefore, we investigated these risk metals and the uptake by Norway spruce using sampling bark.
