Applying the UX approach in website redesign

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je vytvořit návrh a prototyp na zlepšení webových stránek malé firmy, která poskytuje služby týkající se prodeje a servisu vysokozdvižných a paletových vozíků. Cílem designu je vyšší atraktivnost webových stránek, které se stanou více uživatelsky přívětivé, čímž lze zvýšit množství stávajících i nových klientů. Práce nejprve definuje základní pojmy, zejm. UX a UI, popisuje faktory a principy UX. Dále se práce věnuje vztahu mezi UX a webem. Následující část analyzuje stav zkoumaných webových stránek, potřeby uživatelů a majitele firmy a identifikuje klíčové oblasti, které je potřeba přizpůsobit uživateli. Výstupem práce je návrh webových stránek a jejich prototyp.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a design and prototype to improve the website of a small company that provides services related to the sale and service of forklifts and pallet trucks. The aim of the design is to make the website more attractive and user-friendly, which can increase the amount of existing and new clients. The thesis first defines the basic concepts, esp. UX and UI, describes the factors and principles of UX. Next, the thesis discusses the relationship between UX and the web. The following section analyses the state of the researched websites, the needs of the users and the business owner and identifies key areas that need to be adapted to the user. The output of the thesis is a design of a website and its prototype.
