Knowledge of Concepts about Print by Children in the First Year of Primary school.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá znalostmi konvencí tištěného textu u žáků na počátku školní docházky. Cílem práce bylo zjistit úroveň těchto znalostí a úroveň identifikace písmen abecedy u souboru žáků prvního ročníku základní školy. Práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter. Teoretická část se zabývá charakteristikou klíčových pojmů a shrnutím poznatků z oblasti čtenářské gramotnosti a pregramotnosti. Ve výzkumné části jsou prezentována zjištění a výsledky kvantitativně orientovaného výzkumu, který byl realizován prostřednictvím dvou testů M. M. Clayové. V závěru práce jsou výsledky interpretovány a porovnány s dalšími výzkumy.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the knowledge of concepts about print of pupils at the beginning of school attendance. The aim of this thesis was to determine the level of this knowledge and the level of letter identification of pupils in the beginning of the first year of primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the main concepts and summary of findings about reading literacy and preliteracy. The research part presents the research findings and outcomes of a quantitative research, which was conducted using two tests by M. M. Clay. In the conclusion of the thesis, the research results are interpreted and compared with the others research findings.
