Diplomacy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Abstract:

The aim of the final thesis is the definition and definition of the terms: diplomacy, bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, stating the difference between diplomacy and foreign policy. It also describes economic and cultural diplomacy and defines international organizations and international treaties. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters; in the second part, it describes the historical development and basic information about contemporary Vietnam, provides information about Vietnam's business cooperation with the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, and presents a brief guide to etiquette when doing business with this country. In the practical part of the work, through qualitative interviews, it provides the reader with comprehensive information about the diplomatic activities of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam within the framework of bilateral and multilateral or cultural diplomacy, especially after 2020. In 2020, due to the serious consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, people's contact between Vietnam and other countries around the world fundamentally suspended. This factor has greatly influenced Vietnam's efforts in strengthening relations with other countries, especially in the exchange of delegations, in tourism, and also in economic and trade cooperation. In this context, Vietnam flexibly carried out its foreign activities in various creative forms.

Abstract:

Cieľom záverečnej práce je definícia a vymedzenie pojmov: diplomacia, bilaterálna a multilaterálna diplomacia, uvedenie rozdielu medzi diplomaciou a zahraničnou politikou. Ďalej popisuje ekonomickú a kultúrnu diplomaciu a definuje medzinárodné organizácie a medzinárodné zmluvy. Teoretická časť je rozdelená do dvoch kapitol; v druhej časti opisuje historický vývoj a základné informácie o súčasnom Vietname, uvádza informácie o obchodnej spolupráci Vietnamu s Českou republikou a Slovenskou republikou a predkladá stručný návod k etikete pri obchodnom jednaní s touto krajinou. V praktickej časti práce prostredníctvom kvalitatívnych rozhovorov poskytuje čitateľovi komplexné informácie o diplomatických aktivitách Vietnamskej socialistickej republiky v rámci bilaterálnej a multilaterálnej či kultúrnej diplomacie, a to hlavne po roku 2020. V roku 2020 sa v dôsledku vážnych následkov pandémie COVID-19 kontakt ľudí medzi Vietnamom a inými krajinami po celom svete zásadne pozastavil. Tento faktor výrazne ovplyvnil úsilie Vietnamu pri posilňovaní vzťahov s inými krajinami, najmä pri výmene delegácií, v cestovnom ruchu a tiež v hospodárskej a obchodnej spolupráci. V tejto súvislosti Vietnam flexibilne vykonával svoje zahraničné aktivity v rôznych kreatívnych formách.
