Idea of ideal teacher by pupils of first and second grade of elementary school and by students of secondary school

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu ideální učitel. Konkrétně přináší informace o tom, jak si ideálního učitele představují žáci 1. a 2. stupně základní školy a studenti střední školy a jak se jejich představa s přibývajícím věkem a samozřejmě tedy i s přibývajícími zkušenostmi mění. Bakalářská práce představí, jaké by ideální učitel podle žáků měl mít osobnostní charakteristiky, jaký přístup či vyučovací metodu žáci u ideálního učitele preferují. Dále zda je pro ně důležitý vzhled učitele, jeho pohlaví a věk. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části – na teoretickou část a na empirickou část. První část popisuje, jak by měl učitel vypadat z teoretického hlediska. Jednotlivé podkapitoly teoretické části tedy budou směřovat k tomu, aby představily, jaké kvality od dobrých učitelů očekávají pedagogičtí teoretici. Jádrem empirické části je kvantitativní výzkumné šetření, které jsem na toto téma zrealizovala na prvním a druhém stupni základní školy a na střední škole (celkem 12 tříd). V první části popisuji cíle práce, výzkumnou metodu a výzkumný vzorek šetření. Druhá část je zaměřena na analýzu a interpretaci získaných dat. Výsledkem je obraz, představa ideálního učitele, tak jak si ho představují žáci a studenti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is aimed on the topic: an ideal teacher. It deals with the exact information how the pupils of the primary school and the students of the secondary school perceive the imagination of the ideal teacher, and how their perception changes depending on the growing age and, naturally, on their experience. The bachelor thesis depicts the personalities which an ideal teacher should have according to the pupils, and what kind of approach and teaching methods are preferred. The followed characteristics are also physical appearance of the teachers, their gender and age. The bachelor thesis is devided into two parts – theoretical part and empirical part. The first part includes the qualities of the teachers from the theoretical point of view. The subordinated chapters of the theoretical part are intended to the characteristics of the good teachers, which are required by the leading pedagogical theorists. The core of the empirical part is the quantitative questionnaire survey, which was carried out at the first and second stage of the primary school and at the secondary school (in total 12 classes). At the beginning of this part I describe the aims of my work, the research method and the target group. The next chapters are intended to analysis and interpretation of the gathered data. The final result is depiction of the ideal teacher supposed by the perception of the pupils and students.
