František Neumann and his opera Milkování on the basis of Arthur Schnitzler's play Liebelei (1895)
Abstract:
Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá nejúspěšnější operou skladatele, dirigenta a šéfa brněnské opery po r. 1919 Františka Neumanna Milkování na motivy dramatu Liebelei Arthura Schnitzlera. Prostřednictvím analytických sond práce zkoumá kompoziční postupy skladatele Františka Neumanna a dokazuje vliv operního verismu na jeho tvorbu.
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the most successful opera of composer, music director and opera’s chief of the Czech National theatre in Brno after year 1919 František Neumann called Milkování on the basis of Arthur Schnitzler’s play Liebelei. This thesis researches the composing of František Neumann via analysis of some parts of opera and proves influence of verismo on his work.
