Tato práce nabízí sociolingvistický pohled na angličtinu v Indii a její budoucnost. Demonstruje, že status indické angličtiny se neustále vyvíjí. This thesis offers a sociolinguistic view on Indian English and its future. It shows that the status of English in India has been changing constantly throughout the centuries of its use. When analysing the future development of Indian English it is demonstrated that English will be present in India also in the future.
