Diplomová práca je zameraná na subjektívne a objektívne hodnotenie bolesti po operačnom výkone. Teoretická časť je venovaná definícii, fyziológii a typom bolesti. Popisuje nefarmakologické a farmakologické postupy v liečbe bolesti. Kapitola operačný zákrok popisuje predoperačnú prípravu pacienta, typy operácii a komplikácie, ktoré sú s nimi spojene.
