The importance of subsidies in the management of an agricultural enterprise

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou podpory zemědělské výroby z hlediska dotačních titulů. Předmětem úvodní části práce je charakteristika zemědělství v České republice a Evropské unii, dotační politika a přehled finančních podpor v zemědělství. Finančnímu řízení podniku, zdroji dat pro finanční analýzu a jednotlivým metodám, které jsou následně aplikovány v praktické části práce pro splnění hlavního cíle, jsou věnovány samostatné kapitoly. V úvodu navazující aplikační části práce je představena vybraná zemědělská společnost NIVA, a.s., jejíž hospodaření bude v rámci této práce provedeno analýze. Z jednotlivých účetních výkazů jsou separovány dotace a pomocí příloh k účetní závěrce je provedena kvantifikace jednotlivých dotačních titulů. Analýza absolutních a poměrových ukazatelů je provedena jednak z výkazů s dotacemi, tak bez dotací. Závěr práce je věnován rozboru výsledků analýzy a zhodnocení finančního zdraví společnosti pomocí bankrotního modelu indexu IN05.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of support for agricultural production from the point of view of subsidy titles. The subject of the introductory part of the thesis is the characteristics of agriculture in the Czech Republic and the European Union, subsidy policy and an overview of financial support in agriculture. Separate chapters are devoted to the financial management of the company, data sources for financial analysis and individual methods, which are subsequently applied in the practical part of the work to fulfill the main objective. In the introduction of the follow-up application part of the thesis, the selected agricultural company NIVA, a.s., whose management will be analyzed in the framework of this thesis, is presented. Subsidies are separated from the individual financial statements and the individual subsidy titles are quantified using the appendices to the financial statements. The analysis of absolute and ratio indicators is carried out both from reports with subsidies and without subsidies. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of the results of the analysis and the evaluation of the financial health of the company using the bankruptcy model of the IN05 index.
