Influence of public administration, legislative and other factors on the internet commerce in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předložená práce zkoumá vlivy veřejné správy, legislativy a dalších faktorů na obchodování přes internet. V první části práce byly vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se internetového obchodování, včetně historických a ekonomických souvislostí a základních modelů elektronického podnikání. Druhá část práce popisuje některá specifika internetového obchodování v ČR. Právní předpisy regulující e-business v ČR jsou popsány ve třetí části práce. Ve čtvrté, praktické části byl proveden výzkum konkrétního internetového obchodu, využívající dvou metod kvalitativního výzkumu: případovou studii a SWOT analýzu. Cílem práce je prozkoumat právní rámec internetového obchodování v České republice a poté vhodnými metodami prověřit vybraný e-shop z hlediska plnění zákonných norem včetně zkoumání dopadů, které mají tyto zákony a další aspekty české veřejné správy na sledovaný e-shop. V závěru práce jsou navržena opatření odstraňující nedostatky v plnění legislativních požadavků a postupy omezující další rizikové faktory provozu analyzovaného internetového obchodu.

Abstract:

This work examines the influence of public administration, legislation and other factors on e-commerce. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to defining the basic terms linked with e-commerce, including historical and economic context and basic models of e-business. The second part describes some of the specific features of internet trade in the Czech Republic. The legislation controlling the e-business in the Czech Republic is clarified in the third part of the paper. The fourth is the empirical part, which deals with research of a particular internet shop and uses two methods of qualitative research: case study and SWOT analysis. The aim of this work is to explore the e-commerce legislation in the Czech Republic and then to examine the individual e-shop using appropriate methods. It focuses on legal measures including the impact of the law and other aspects of the Czech public administration on the e-shop. Finally, the work suggests which measures to take in order to fulfil the legislative requirements and it presents how to proceed to limit the risks of the internet shop operation.
