Jak přelstít Greenwashers? Studie porovnávající efektivitu regulací Greenwashingu v České republice a Švédsku k roku 2024

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá regulace greenwashingu v České republice a Švédsku zároveň s širšími iniciativami EU a čerpá z teoretických rámců včetně teorie vládního selhání a teorie tržního selhání, což je neobvyklý přístup k analýze regulací greenwashingu. Přestože jsou regulace považovány za prospěšné, jsou zde popsané i problémy s regulacemi, jako je regulatorní zajetí. Práce využívá sekundárních dat a kvalitativního výzkumu k poukázání na rozdíly mezi Českou republikou a Švédskem a jejich přístupy ke greenwashingu. Regresní analýza užitá pro zkoumání dotazníku stanovuje, že regulace mají pozitivní dopad na zmírnění greenwashingu díky kvalitě regulací, účinnosti vlády a jednoduchosti regulací. Vše je zakončeno diskusí, která propojuje průzkum literatury a kvalitativní výzkum s výsledky regresní analýzy.

Abstract:

This thesis examines greenwashing regulations in the Czech Republic and Sweden, alongside broader EU initiatives, drawing on theoretical frameworks including Government Failure Theory and Market Failure Theory, which is an unusual perspective for analysing greenwashing regulations. While regulations are seen as beneficial, issues such as regulatory capture are observed. The thesis points out the differences between the Czech Republic and Sweden and their approaches to greenwashing by utilising secondary data and qualitative research in both countries. Regression analysis employed for examining the survey determines that regulations have a positive impact on mitigating greenwashing due to regulatory quality, government effectiveness and regulatory simplicity. This is concluded in a discussion, which connects the literature review and qualitative research to the regression analysis results.
